Big show, little price

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3GVEM3RD553K2 What a cool little light !! I set this on my table and point it to the ceiling and off it goes. Great for low light situation and where setting up the usual light stand isn’t practical.. I use this in a small club and a lot of my weddings. It’s funny to watch the people looking at it and pointing. Great buy !! Highly recommend it. I would buy another but too much of the same colors will wash it out.

I hope you enjoy this short video, it was shot during a wedding without any planning. It was really that cool.

Excellent affordable laser!

This is the American DJ Micro Galaxian red & green laser. It is the smaller version of the Galaxian laser with the same laser power output, but a smaller beam spread. It is a compact well built unit with a power switch on the back and a small fan to keep it cool. The small power cord plugs into the back of the unit and has a transformer block on the end of the cord. It comes with a remote that works great, but has an antenna to pull up if needed, which seems like old technology. The remote has 4 buttons which allows you to select auto/sound mode, blackout, color and direction of rotation. When going through the color modes you can select red, green, red/green together or red/green changing and flashing. You can select auto mode or sound mode so it will go with the music. There is also a speed control knob on the back of the laser to have the dots stop completely, move very fast or slow. The darker the room the better, but you can easily see it in any room with the lights on. I am very pleased with it. I havent tried it with fog but I know it would look great since it has 200 beams. It will work great for any DJ to use on the dancefloor, wall or ceiling. This is a great buy under $100.

PROS: It is small, bright, well built and works great. It has a remote to control it.
CONS: Transformer on cord and antenna on remote.

Big show small laser GREAT PRICE!!!!

This is great, a laser that takes almost no space on a truss and can light up more than an entire dance floor (or ceiling). Effects are very nice and it has a remote that allows you to control blackout, red only, green only, and direction. Also has a microphone for music.

Only thing I am not a fan of is the battery for the remote is not AA or AAA. Not sure what it is or how much it will cost as yet, but I don’t think it will need replacement for some time as it really shouldn’t draw much power.

Guests at my events love the look on the ceiling and you can’t beat the price.

Fantastic Performance! I definitely recommend this lead light

Fantastic Performance! I definitely recommend this lead light. Its not one of those 15 minute on and off cycle lights. It last all night long. I have used this for my weekend parties and I and friends have been impressed with it. It was actually more then I expected. Much larger and puts out allot of light. Brilliant colors fill the entire room. Works Fantastic to Music! Not much need for any other lights. This one does the trick.

Great Light for lighting a dance floor!

This light fills a room quite well….the higher it is mounted the better. It lights up the dance floor perfectly. With no music the light shuts completely off which can be both good and bad, depending on your preferences. I also love the Tri Led feature which can produce more colors than just red, green, and blue. I’d recommend this light to anyone.

GREAT LED LIGHT!

This is the Vertigo LED light. It is the LED version of the older Vertigo. There is a difference between the old and new versions. The older Vertigo had fatter colored beams that moved wildly to the music and put out more light. It also took a 300 watt bulb and got fairly warm while operating. This new LED version has smaller beams but each beam changes colors and even flashes. They both move about the same but the new one has smaller beams and spots. I like the new one since it is LED and changes colors. The motor is louder than it should be, but you won’t hear it with music playing. I have changed out all of my DJ lighting to LED because it is so cool, colorful and bright.

Wow, expected cheap, and got better… for cat piddle

I shopped hard for a blacklight because I believe it will be something rarely used, but when it is used, I wanted it be be working well. So good and inexpensive were my hot buttons. It’s not for decor, it’s to look for kitty pee on the carpets. One of our cats was ill recently and I wanted to be sure we got everything cleaned up. If you do want it for decorating purposes, it throws quite a light.

The blacklight arrived very well packaged and with no damages. In 5 minutes I had it set up, doused the lights, and looked. This baby uncovers a whole ‘nother world. The cat accidents were readily apparent… as were some other odd spots. I need to go look up what blacklights reveal because some of what I saw wasn’t cat product- for example, there was a fine spread-out glow on the floor under where one of our family members often eats snacks!

But for stalking kitty pee, this was wonderful. I had slips of paper in my hand and laid them across the spots to mark them, then turned the regular lights back on to work on them with paper towels and Woolite carpet spray for pets. Went back and forth this way a few times until everything came up clean. The light’s now in the basement, ready for -heaven forbid- the next time it’s needed.

this black light is awsome it brights all my little room (5 meters x 7 meters). I got a friend (neighbor) that has the same dimensions of his room and he needs 2 blacklights to fill the ilumination of the room. this is a great product

Great Blacklight in a manageable size.

Terrific little blacklight, and with very little buzz. In the same room I also have a 48″ BL from a local shop, but it buzzes terribly (a screeching 19 kHz tone).

Very compact, and due to recent discoveries about the workmanship of some previously hammered nails, I’ve also discovered that this beast holds up to several drops from about 5 feet*.

Really compact, bright, and affordable.

I purchase this LED scan system and I am very happy with the light show it has to offer. I am a mobile DJ so I prioritize light weight, compact and affordable. These lights look real good on the mobile DJ booth and dance floor. The only complaint I have is the lack of color gobos and shapes. I would of like to see this have at least 4 more gobos but you get what you pay for. Other than that this light is a really good looking light show for the mobile DJ. If you use them with a DMX controller you can use the white gobo to use as a spot light really good for events were you would like to follow a special guest around the stage or dance floor.

I have been a DJ for over 20 years now and ever since I saw the first scanners in a night club back when I was old enough to get into them I dreamed of adding something like this to my light show but they were 1000′s of dollers back then. I started DJing before I was 21 and back then we built up these masive lighting and sound systems to play at schools with my freind DJ’s. I had 24 ft of truss at one time loaded with lights spaning across our speaker towers. Today I am just the ocasional DJ performing for mostly freinds and family as My Phillipino wife has a very large family always having some kind of event. With that said most of that big gear is gone now and my current system is very compact as I only DJ ocasionally. All the music is on the laptop as mp3 using PCDJ Red. No more records or CD’s to haul around with some compact Amplified speakers and a powered sub. Why, because most of the events I am hauling my wife and 4 kids with me too so it all has to fit in the SUV with them. When I saw these a said I can abandon my old antiqueted lights as these will do what 10 of them will do without all the heat, pounds and bulbs to replace. It is amazing how far LED Technology has come and if your not sure if an LED lighting system will put out the light intesity as I was you will be very pleasently surprized. These two comscans are now my entire light show as I just mount them to the Speaker stands. Possibly later I will get a small lighting truss but no real need right now for the ocasional gig. I also ordered 2 Ariba cases for them to protect them as these are my new baybies next to my new DN-HC4500 and my kids as I want to make sure they are well protected. I have been messing around with them in the evenings for about a week now and the light show is so cool when you set them to sound mode and have the fog. The RC3 controler is ample but I am considering getting a USB to DMX interface so I can try some free ware I have found to control the lights from my Laptop. It would be cool if I can use my track ball mouse to use them as spot lights and move them around. I’m new to DMX but I’m a high tech guy and understand the concept so it should be a fun project for me to try and figure out. For this price and you are a full time DJ I would not even think twice as you can’t beat the price. Plus Free super saver shipping and no tax. Thanks Amazon! I’m very happy.

NICE STARTER SYSTEM

I am very pleased with American DJ T20F4Ch Chase Controller With Foot Switch. I bought 2 to develop a small simple lighting package for a basement band project.

Moves through a pattern, one beat at a time, I’d call it single channel.

I bought this hoping it would close to a color organ (turn lights on and off depending on the beat of the music). Well it is and it’s not. A color organ, like the one I have now that was $50, will independently turn lights on and off depending on the wave range each channel is assigned to. Not so here. It is basically a single chancel color organ. The beat of the music moves the chase pattern along one step, per beat.

Some of the more complicated chase patterns give the illusion that is actually 4 channel, but if you look at the lights for a few second, you see that it’s just following a pattern, and each beat just moves the pattern along once step. If it had a random pattern at least that would be great, but it doesn’t.

If you use this as part of a larger light system or have a controller to connect to this, well then I think this would be well worth the money, but on its own, not that impressive.

Furthermore, the inner box had clearly been opened AT LEAST three times (layers of cut tape upon cut tape). They clearly “reship” returned merchandise. Well mine is going to have another layer of tape since I’m returning my Christmas present. I’d give this a 3 but the repackaging costs them another point from me, if you don’t care about that, consider my rate a 3.
